RBR40 Firmware Upgrade

I have an ORBI RBR40 Router and three RBS20 Satellites.  I received an email to update my fimware, and it fails through automatic updates.  My current firmware version is V1.12.0.30 for the RBR40 and...

I was unable to update any of the firmware on the RBS20's.

Just to be sure you have a retail Orbi system and no one given to you by an ISP? Or one marked as Verizon Orbi?
