RBR40: Slow Wireless Speed
When connected to Ethernet, I get greater than 800 down and about 50 up. When connected wirelessly, I get about 150 down and sometimes as much as 250 down but nowhere near 800. Is there a gigabit s...

I have iPhone 11 max, iPad Pro, iMac and MacBook Pro. All product the same results. All my devices are up to date (software and firmware).

What Firmware is currently loaded?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or maynot be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Circle, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).
Are the these connecting at 866Mpbs on 5Ghz? Install WiFi Sweetspots on these to check the connection rate.
The max connection rate on the 40 series Orbi is 866Mbps on 5Ghz.
Also be sure you know the different between Mbps and Mb:

Firmware:
RBR40 - V2.3.5.30
RBS20 - V2.3.5.26
Distance is less than 30 feet. All routers are more more like 10-15 feet. When I conduct a speed test, I am standing a few inches away from router.
Channels:
2.4GHz channel 6 (it was on auto, but I changed to channel 6 based on your recommendation).
5GHz channel 36.
Neighbors: Yes, I living in a housing development. 8 homes in my Col Du Sac.
Features Enabled (as per you direction): Implicit BEAMFORMING, MU-MIMO, WMM (both 2.4GHz and 5GHz).
Features Disabled (as per you direction):
Armor, Circle, Fast Roaming, and IPv6.
No idea what Daisy Chain is. 20/40MHz Coexsistence box is checked. Should I uncheck this???
Wireless Speed Mode:
2.4GHz up to 400 Mbps
5GHz up to 866.7 Mpbs
I dont know how to change this or adjust setting if this is even possible. I says this on the "ADVANCED Home" screen.
Yes, I know the difference between megabit and megabyte.

Yes, just uncheck the box and the select apply and this will set 40Mhz only. Just disable Daisy Chain. Should be near the bottom of this page.

You need to see what the connection rate is between the Orbi RBR and your wireless device. To see this, install WiFi SweetSpots on your mobile device then launch this app. Be near the RBR, say 3-6 feet. App will show you the connection rate. If you mobile devices supports high speeds, then 866 should be seen.

I completed all tasks:
- Disabled Daisy Chain
- Unchecked 20/40 Coexistence
- Downloaded the WI-FI SweetSpots App
- Ensured all Satellites are 30 feet away
These are my results:
- Wired Speedtest - 881 Mbps
- Wireless Speedtest (3 foot test same room as router) - 491 Mbps
- Wireless Speedtest (6 foot test same room as router) - 440 Mbps
- Wireless Speedtest (10 foot test different room from router, separated by 1 drywall) - 259 Mbps
- WI-FI SweetSpots test (3 foot test same room as router) - 492 Mbps over 15 sec
- WI-FI SweetSpots test (6 foot test same room as router) - 276 Mbps over 15 sec
- WI-FI SweetSpots test (10 foot test different room from router, separated by 1 drywall) - 122 Mbps over 15 sec
*** I used MacBook Pro for wired test and iPhone 11 Pro Max for wireless tests. ***
Maybe its wishful thinking to believe it’s possible to get above 700 Mbps wirelessly on my current setup. Maybe there is something I’m missing, or maybe I need a newer Orbi setup (although I though this one was good).
Either way, thank you VERY MUCH for the assistance!
