RBR50 - initially lost satellite connection and now have 500 - internal server error

Question

Issue began with satellite dropping off the network. Someone had unplugged it. Trying to do a reset did not help the router recognize the satellite. Finally tried to update firmware using update all and since then have had 500 - Internal Server Error with ‘Please wait a moment’ screen now on for hours
