RBR50 , RBS50 , Roku TV and Pixels - Constant Disconnecting of WiFi

In addition to our Pixels constantly disconnecting , I found out that an android update introduced "Adaptive Connectivity" which may only affect a small amount of people , but in our perfect storm in issues , disabling this option has helped us so far. I've been tearing my hair out trying to figure out why our Pixels were constantly disconnecting. I have an RBK23 with two hardwired satellites, and in one particular room our phones would keep cycling through all three wifi signals, and sometimes disconnect entirely. Android reported that the wifi network was "low quality" which is nonsense because it worked fine everywhere else in the house. Swapping the satellite locations made no difference, nor did trying all manner of Orbi and Android settings changes.

The room where these disconnect happened was not the one with the Roku TV - that room is down the hall and if I remember right they worked fine in that room. But I turned off "wifi direct" anyway and voila! no more disconnects, no more cycling through the networks.

I have no idea how you figured out it was the Roku TV, but I am eternally grateful that you did - and posted it here!

(By the way, we can keep "adaptive connectivity" on without problems. It's just the stupid wifi direct that was interfering.)

(Also, if I remember right, the problem didn't happen when the phones were connected to the 2G network, only 5G. And strangely, it didn't happen when connected to the guest network even at 5G. And the Roku TV is not connected to the network via wifi at all, it's hardwired to a different network entirely, not the Orbi network. Just adding this info in case it helps anyone else.)
