RBR50 admin password problems
Hi My RBR50 with 2 sattelites has been working fine for a few years. Recently there was an internet issue and the service provider had to visit the site and fix the issue. Not sure if this is at all...

There are two issues:
- The Orbi 'app' has suddenly gone (crazy? loco? f**d-up?) There are dozens of reports from customers about this "Logon timed out" error (it happens to me as well). There is a vague promise that Netgear intends to release a new version of the Orbi app by Nov 12 that will resolve this issue. Meanwhile, customers are (your choice of expletive).
- Although the ISP device has assigned an IP address of 192.158.0.18 to the WAN interface of the orbi, your devices need to connect to the LAN side of the router, which is almost certainly 192.168.1.1. Please try that IP address in a web browser.

Thanks for responding so quickly CrimpOn.
When i enter 192.168.1.1 on my PC Chrome browser, I get ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT
If I enter 192.168.0.1, I get through to my modem and can access all modem functions as normal.
I have a cable from the modem Eth1 input to the RBR50 Internet input.
Not sure if this helps at all?

I am 100% certain that the Orbi will not respond on the IP address assigned by the ISP device (192.168.0.18).
During the visit by the ISP technician, is there no chance that the tech moved the ISP to Orbi connection from the Orbi WAN port to some other port?
What people usually advise is to power everything off. (Say whatever prayer suits your personal beliefs - Hail Mary. Happy Birthday. Whatever) Turn on the ISP device and wait until it is stable. Then, power on the Orbi router.
Does the "Ring Light" at the top of the Orbi router display any pattern or colors?

I was with the tech when he came inside - he only spent a few min inside and played around with the line going into the wall.
The light at the top of the RBR50 is white.
I'm not sure how the modem assigns an ip to the RBR50 - but you are right, nothing happens when I try access 192.168.0.18 through the pc browser. And I can't seem to reassign it.
I will try doing the prayer thing a bit later and start from scratch again - if that doesn't work it seems I have to wait for the Netgear patch. Do you have a link that has any info on the patch that is on its way?
