RBR50 and RBS50Yv2 compatable?

The RBR50 is at Firmware version 1.1.0.16, no idea what the outdoor Sat. Version is.  Im trying to get them to sync but have read through the forums trying to find an answer why they dont seem to want to sync.  

 

The RBR50 is set for automatic Firmware updates but I see that there is at least two updates with higher numbers 2.0 and higher.  I was wondering if this could be the issue with the sync?  

 

Also looking through the forums I saw a video that says "Press the Sync on the router then within two min press the sync on the Outdoor Sat. Unit." But the instructions state to press the sync button on the Sat. Unit first then within two min press the sync button on the router.  (I only ask because Im installing this unit 30 miles from my house and didnt have time to research while at the location.  Planning on going back tomorrow.)

 

One last thing, could this also be the reason I cant port forward on the RBR50?
