RBR50 and T-Mobile Home Internet (TMHI)

I would move the T-Mobile gateway around the house to find the strongest signal. T-Mobile has guides on this topic:
https://www.t-mobile.com/support/home-internet/t-mobile-gateway If there are multiple locations that have identical signal levels, then pick the location that "makes sense" in terms of placing the two Orbi units.
The Orbi RBR50 router needs to be placed close enough to the T-Mobile gateway to be connected with an Ethernet cable. For most customers, that would mean in the same room. The satellite can then be moved around the house to determine which locations:
- Result in the satellite getting a "Good" 5G connection to the router, and
- Providing coverage to most of the desired locations.
Some brands of LTE gateway allow the user to connect external MIMO antennas. I do not see an obvious option on the T-Mobile gateway for external antennas.
Most customers would prefer to place the T-Mobile in "bridge" or "passthrough" mode, which may not be possible. (Did not find an actual User Manual for the gateway.) If that cannot be done, then be aware that there are specific applications that become difficult to implement when there are "two routers" (search for "Double NAT") If you are not using those specific applications, then the topic is only of academic interest.
