RBR50 Dropping Internet
I do not understand why the RBR50 is so delicate that the least little thing seems to cause it to lose connectivity for an extended period of time. In the last 3 years, it must be 20 times now that a minor power outage, firmware upgrade, ISP drop or planet misalignment seems to cause it major problems.
To compensate for this I now have a dedicated UPS on the router itself and I have an older D-link router coming from my modem now just so I can have reliable internet access since I work from home. I find that wiring to this older router even through powerline networking is more reliable than actually relying on the orbi mesh that is in the next room.
Its unfortunate because the orbi with 3 or 4 satellites gives me the coverage I need around the house and outside (for smart home) . I did have to drop one of the satellites, now down to 3, because the 4th mysteriously started to kill the router any time I plug it in (wired backhaul) or even on wifi backhaul, so I just don't use that one anymore.
Now once again, for some uknown reason, maybe a firmware upgrade? I'm not sure, it just dropped all internet connectivity even though my modem and interim router are solid. I've rebooted through power off switch or unplugging for a duration of 30 seconds to 5 minutes to 20 minutes with no luck yet on it coming back to life.
I'm hoping I can find a solution to the delicate flower that is the Orbi but I'm wondering if ASUS AiMesh would be more stable and I can be done with the curse of this Orbi.
Thanks for any help.

After trying everything suggested in these community forums, I finally trashed my Orbi for a new TP-Link Deco M9+. It works superbly with better reach and stronger connections than my Orbi network ever did. And it doesn't drop the internet connection like the RBR50 would repeatedly do - I finally convinced myself that the RBR50 must have had a hardware problem - maybe an intermittant connection somewhere. If your RBR50 continues to drop internet with no explanation or fix, then just get a new network.
