RBR50 Firmware Update problem

Avoid using the Orbi app for any FW updates. You can do this if you want to update FW:

I tried both and attempted to login with username of admin and the password I set up when I installed the Orbi system. I get a 500 internal server error with both. Any suggestions?
Thanks to everyone who responded to my note regarding my firmware not updating. A special thanks to FURRYe38 for his guidance. Rebooting while connected to my laptop worked and I was able to update the firmware and all is well.
