RBR50 integration of ethernet & wifi networks

here is a support post an answer I received in the Apple Support community today:

<my question>Have an Apple TV 4K which accesses internet via ethernet (network via Cat 6A and Netgear 10G switch wired to Orbi mesh router wired to Xfinity cable modem). Some nested questions:
Do I have to disconnected the ATV from ethernet network for it to operate as HomeKit hub?

<my received answer>No. Ethernet is fine as long as your router bridges the wired and wireless networks together. most do this normally. Check your router's manual. The point is, wireless devices must be able to contact the Apple TV over the network wether its wired or wireless should not matter if the network is set correctly.

I have looked in Orbi user manual and support documents and do not see this issue addesssed. Network topology is Xfinity Cable Modem <via Cat 6A ethernet to> Orbi RBR50 hub <via Cat 6A ethernet to> Netgear XS724EM-100NAS switch <via Cat 6A ethernet to> Apple TV AND  Orbi satellites (wired backhaul; separate ethernet cable to each of ATV and satellites directly from Netgear switch).

Any thoughts on how to resolve this issue?  Thanks in advance.

The RBR50 Orbi creates one IP subnet for both wired and WiFi devices.  In a sense, Yes, it 'bridges' the wired and wireless networks. (In a technical sense, one IP subnet cannot be bridged to itself, but that is sort of splitting hairs.)

If the AppleTV has an IP address on the network, then every other device on the network should be able to connect to it, no matter whether they are wired or wireless.

How can I discover why that (integrated wired and wireless network) is not happening? The (ethernet connected) Apple TV is not visible via WiFi, for example? There are two Netgear devices in play, the OrbiRBR50 hub (connected to the cable modem) and the XS724EM-100NAS switch (connected to the Orbi).
