RBR50: Issue connecting to chromecast

Thanks for the quick response. All other devices on the network are achieving good speed, about 100Mbps, it is just the chromecast that has the slow speed. I haven't tried setting up the Orbi in router mode. I will look at this tomorrow if I can't find an alternative solution. I turned the chromecast off and on again which seems to have fixed the speed at the moment. If it returns to the slow speed I will look to set at the Orbi as the router.

If the orbi is in AP mode, its not controlling the routing functions. Especially if the chromecast is hardwired in.
Try looking at whatever device you're using for your primary router. Check its qos settings, parental controls, data management features.
Which router is it?
have you tried setting up the netgear in router mode and putting the netgears IP address in your current primary's DMZ? Or the current primary in modem only/passthrough mode
