RBR50: Issue connecting to chromecast

Thanks for the quick response. All other devices on the network are achieving good speed, about 100Mbps, it is just the chromecast that has the slow speed. I haven't tried setting up the Orbi in router mode. I will look at this tomorrow if I can't find an alternative solution. I turned the chromecast off and on again which seems to have fixed the speed at the moment. If it returns to the slow speed I will look to set at the Orbi as the router.
If the orbi is in AP mode, its not controlling the routing functions. Especially if the chromecast is hardwired in.
Try looking at whatever device you're using for your primary router. Check its qos settings, parental controls, data management features.
Which router is it?
have you tried setting up the netgear in router mode and putting the netgears IP address in your current primary's DMZ? Or the current primary in modem only/passthrough mode

After several factory resets of the orbi router and a couple of hours of frustration, due to incompetence on my part, I have set the modem into bridge mode and things seem to be working so far. I hope that this will solve the problem. I will check it again tomorrow and ensure that it has not reverted back to the slow speed. I will post to confirm either way. Thnaks for the quick help, greatly appreciated.

For some reason and not all the time, I find Orbi products have a hard time resetting. I just had an issue yesterday resetting an Orbi RBS40V. It kept trying to pair and then turn magenta. After the 3rd hard reset, it finally paired.
Checked it again this morning and all good. So I assume it was an issue with the router. I am using a Huawei B818 connect to a 4g network. I now have issues with my VOIP phone but the chromecast is working fine.
