RBR50 on Clearance?

Any idea why the RBR50 is on clearance for $199 at BestBuy?

I suspect it's because they know they're not going to be able to restore the stability that was lost with 1.11.x and in some way, they've permanently damaged the hardware in a way they can't recover.

It could also be a technique to continue interest while so many people are complaining on the internet.

It could also have nothing to do with the instability.

  • The most likely answer would be that the router alone (RBR50) is not selling well by itself at $249.  That makes sense when you consider a router by itself doesn't provide the benefits or Orbi, and you can buy a kit for $399 and a satellite alone costs $249.
