RBR50 RBS50 what can I add on?
Hi, I see someone has already asked this, but have had no replys. What other Orbi satellites can I add as I live in a tall house with a long kitchen to the back and the garden. It is also brick internal walls. The kitchen and garden get WiFi but it is weak.It could be just another RBS50 or could it be an RBS20. If someone could please help and let me know what satellite I can use.
Thank you
You can add the
RBS20
RBW30
RBS40
RBS40V
RBS50
RBS50Y
Just keep in mind that the RBS50, RBS50y are the only ones with the full 1733mbps backhaul as the RBR50.
The others will work though.

I have the same situation inthat I already own the RBS20 from a previous version and am looking to buy an RBK50 to upgrade--so my question is: Does the reduced backhaul affect the entire mesh system or just the comm. between the router and this satellite? I.e. RBR50 to RBS50 at 1733 and RBR50 to RBS20 at 867 providing the router sits in between the two satellites?
It depends on how you hook it up.
if you're daisy chaining, potentially.
What I mean is if you go:
rbr50------rbs20------rbr50, then you would because its (rbs50) daisy chaining off the rbs20.
if you go:
rbr50-------rbr50--------rbs20, then the only device with the lower backhaul will be the rbs20.
In a star configuration, you'd be fine.
