Greetings and thank you for your reply. here are some answers to your Q
1. Firmware is V2.5.1.8
2. Comtrend B673...service provided by Fairpoint which has been bought up by west
coast company Consolidated. I'm in north VT
3. Older farm house with additions, not sure of SQFT. Have played with satallite locations to get green light when setting up. The RBR50 is at front of house in center on ground floor where where phone line comes in and DSL router has to be. The two RBS50 satallites are upstairs 1 floor in each wing/addition and are pretty stable though one goes orange every so often...Varous walls thickness etc.
Ive just bought and added an outdoor unit to
see if I can extend coverage to barn across driveway...so far just orange, but playing with the location still
4. Live in country with the nearest neighbor blocks away. Where do I check to see which settings you mention Auto,....etc
5. All the of your next Q's are beyond my knowledge/ experience at this point. I'm glad to follow steps to those settings if you can provide step by steps.
thanks!

Whawt mode is your modem working in? Bridged or router mode? If your modem has a built in router already, This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
https://kb.netgear.com/30187/How-to-fix-issues-with-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop
