Hello All. Trying to update the firmware on my Orbi router. Working on a manual update. When I attach the .img file, click upload, it processes for a few minutes then an error message appears stating...

Ya you would. Who knows that NG does behind the scenes. Why I always check the RBK50 series pages first. That seems to be the starting point. :smileywink:

Hello Everyone! Following the suggestions from the group, I'm still unable to update the firmware. After an hour and 40 mins on the phone with NG last night, they couldn't figure it out either. Very frustrating!!

So v212 would not install over v74?
Try 2.1.1.12 over v74. This is the next version right after v74.
Just to confirm that you have a retail Orbi and not a ISP branded Orbi? Like Verizon?

vajim I will give it a shot. I tried several with NG tech support last night. I would always get the same error message. "This is not the correct firmware for this product." Something along those lines. I confirmed the product time and time again.
