RBR50 Routeur Bricked & Blinking White in loop
Hi,
My RBR50 (out of warranty) just totally crashed after a reboot (power shutdown).
At boot, power led is fixed green, and top circle light is blinking white.
I've tried the official RESET factory, but it doesn't work :
- Pressing Reset during 20 or more seconds if device is already powered DOESN'T do anything on the device (no change in lights)
- Pressing Reset at power on make the power led RED 5 seconds, then power led blink red 6 times, then become fixed green...(and top circle light is always blinking white)
Ping to 192.168.1.1 is always in timeout, but when I do the second procedure, I have 2-3 working ping to 192.168.1.1 when the power led staring to be green and then timeout again...
Impossible to do the TFTP procedure (I've still tried, in a blind way, just in case... but no big hope because I can't ping 192.168.1.1 enough...)
I've tried the 30-30-30 procedure also... No change at all...
Moreover, if I leave the Orbi alone, after a few minutes have green power led, this led became red a few seconds, and then green again... In loop...
Hardware is really dead ? it's wired that I can ping a few seconds, and then... finished... Maybe hardware/memory is corrupted and even the "recovery" boot is crashing...
Any idea ?
Thanks for your help
Romain

Need to press the reset button for 30 seconds then release, then it send to PUT the command and upload the FW.
I had a problem on a Windows 10 PC where this didn't work to use TFTP, so I switched to a WIndows 7 PC and the TFTP worked.
Try nmrpflash?
When tftp didn't work

Hi,
Nop, as I wrote in my topic, this procedure (30 sec, TFTP...) wasn't working at all...
After digging deeper, the solution came with this topic:
I had to open device, and connect to the serial port.
In U-boot, I've seen that boot was totally corrupted and failing at the checksum, even when trying to reset...
In fact, my RBR50 has totally erased all his data, including SN, MAC, Model, etc...
I had to put back all info with this (in Uboot console), my device MAC on the label was 14:59:c0:XX:XX:91
board_model_id_set RBR50 board_hw_id_set 29765352+0+4000+512+2x2+2x2+4x4 board_parameters_set 12345678 5W31895XXXXXX ORBI38 ORBI382 fuxazzblez62 fuxazzblez62 1101 14:59:c0:XX:XX:91 14:59:c0:XX:XX:81 14:59:c0:XX:XX:71 14:59:c0:XX:XX:61 14:59:c0:XX:XX:61
Then I was able to run :
fw_recover
Using TFTP client to upload FW.
Device rebooted, and I was able to access the Web GUI !
Reconfig + satellite resync : Ok !
