RBR50 satellite ethernet connection going to guest network instead of primary.
Hi everyone, I noticed recently my connection has been spotty on my PC connected to satellite via ethernet (RBR50). Turns out at some point it re-directed and shows in Windows that it's connected to ...

If its hardwired into the satellite, its the windows active name thats causing it, not the network name.
And you'd need to change it to private in windows.
To change the network name requires changing the registry.

to change to private, is just a setting.

Thanks, I figured it out, and the registry thing would've done the trick also. I ended up resetting network settings, and it just shows up as "Network" now without the guest network SSID in the profile-- I may still rename it down the line, so that registry fix helps.
I thought it was kind of weird though that pinhole resetting the satellite/re-syncing, reverted the satellite back to its previous name/setting vs. the default Orbi/generic satellite name. Oh well, I guess as long as it's sync'ed with router and on main SSID, that's all I care about.
Appreciate it!
