RBR50: WAN limited to 100M/Full.
Few days ago I noticed the ethernet light was flashing amber on my router (CM1000). After looking that up, confirmed that the status of my WAN port is only running at 100 Mbps. I unplugged the RBR50. Using the same cable, plugged it directly into my desktop and get full speed (700Mbps). The ethernet port also turns green. I plugged the Orbi back in and completed a factory reset, It's still limited to 100Mbps and the light returns to amber. The router is in another room and the cable I'm using is fished up one wall and through the ceiling across the entire house. So replacement isn't a favorable option and confirm that it is CAT5e. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciate.
Thank you.

To test, move the router next to the modem and use a cat 6 cable between modem/router to see if it is indeed the cable.
I've seen sketchy cat 5e cables connect at gigabit on more tolerant devices (like computers) and not when connected to routers/satellites. If that works at gigabit speeds, try replacing the ends or keystone jacks on your current cable. Many times a cable thats not quite connected 100% can work fine on one device but not another. I've had them check out fine using a line tester but not when connected to something that is passing data- KevinLiTNETGEAR Moderator
