The firmware you have installed is your problem. That version was pulled by Netgear due to issues similar to what you're experiencing. You can roll back to version 2.3.5.30 or upgrade to version 2.5.1.8. I recommend rolling back to 2.3.5.30 as it seems to be the most stable recent version. 2.5.1.8 has only been out for about a week so there aren't too many folks running it yet. I'm waiting for another week to upgrade but, even then I may not. If it isn't broken, don't fix it. After you rollback or upgrade, do a factory reset of all ORBIs (satellites and router) and reconfigure them from scratch–not from a backup config file. It can be a real PITA but it will remove any vestiges of old firmware that could conflict and cause issues. Plan on taking several hours to do this. Also, always upgrade/rollback the satellites first, then do the router. After all the equipment has "new" firmware installed, then do a factory reset of all the ORBIs. Again satellites first.
Good luck!
