What device are you testing with?
The 2.4ghz isn't going to get faster speeds than roughly that 100mbps (or even lower) but the 5ghz should.
How are you testing speeds? What app? What device? How far from router? or satellite?
Have you tried the scorched earth policy and tried a factory reset?

Thanks for pointing out that question.
I am using a macbook pro, iphone 12 min and a late imac 2015 model.
I have been using: google speed test, spectrum speed test, ookla speed test and ookla speed test app on iphone along with spectrum/google speed test on chrome browser.
I have done a factory reset at this point. I feel as though it has not improved.

How old is the orbi?
did it ever hit faster wireless speeds?
What link speed are you showing when you test the speeds?
Any windows/android devices to try testing?

The orbi is old. At least 6-7 years at this point.
I recall hitting faster speeds before. I also hit normal fast speeds when directly connected to a satellite or router.
Right now I just tested a ThinkPad using Internet Explorer and received 123 down and 22 up and one minute later re-tested and its at 40 down and 22up.
Seems that the download speed is hindered greatly, which is odd.

when you're testing speeds, check what band you're connected to and its link speed.
40mbps is more along the lines of what the 2.4ghz can do. 2.4ghz is a much slower network than 5ghz.
are you using any parental controls, traffic monitoring, access controls, or qos? If so, try disabling them and reboot the router.
