RBR50 with four RBS50 satellites disconnecting wifi devices
I've had an RBR50 hub and 4 satellites for several years with various devices (cameras, thermostats, monitoring systems, etc.) connected successfully. However recently, wifi devices, including iphon...

Thanks for these prompts/ideas. Responding:
What errors do these messages throw up? typically it is "failed to connect" or in the case of iphones/ipads, we get logged off the wifi automatically and have to log in again every time.
What happens when you reboot the router? We've rebooted both our Orbi router and our main wifi router from our ISP and the same thing continues to happen.
Any signs of neighbours throwing wifi devices into the area? No, we are in a very rural area and there are no other wifi networks.
What firmware version do you have on the device? both the RBR50 and satellites are V2.7.4.24

We did ask you what modem sits between your Orbi and the Internet. That was there for a reason.
You didnkt answer the question, but now you say that you have an unnamed "main wifi router" from your ISP.
If it really is a router, or modem/router, there is a good chance that this is the source of your problem.
Two routers on your network can cause headaches. For example, you can end up with local address problems. Among other things, the other router can misdirect addresses that the Netgear router usually handles, such as routerlogin.net or the usual IP address for a router, 192.168.1.1.
This explains some of the other drawbacks.

It may be possible to put the modem/router into modem only (bridge) mode and then to use the second device as the router. Sometimes it is easier to put the second router into AP mode. But that has its own drawbacks:

A lot of people use an Orbi system in AP mode, especially if they have a decent router in front of it. Only you know which of your two routers provides the best features for your needs.
