I have one router, three satellites, 22 connected devices, firmware v2.1.3.44( right now) and have the same problem The gui where you can see the connected devices doesn’t show correct, it changes all the time. Do you also have this problem? Connection type for example changes between wired connected, wifi 2,4 to wifi 5 and so on for a device. Connected orbi also change all the time, to the nearest satellite, and after 20 sec its connected to the farthest away satellite and sometime the wifi is lost.
When I look into the menu for my speaker’s which is wifi connected, HK citation (bar and 500), it changes all the time between not connected to weak and excellent. I am so tired of this system. When will Netgear get this to work? I have had problem the first day i bought it. I really regret that i didn’t return it. I had my hope that they would resolve all the problem, but they haven’t. Every new firmware introduce another problem!!!!!!!!!! I will never more buy something from Netgear!!!!!!!!! My hope is gone for them.
I have tried to separate 2.4 and 5GHz, change transmit power, reset, restart and every firmware version out there and even tried the most of the features it has. But nothing helps!!!!!!!!

What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too?
Is the Orbi system operating in Router or AP mode?
What is the Mfr and model# of the ethernet switch if one is in the configuration. What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between them to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.I would do this, factory reset the entire system. Set up from scratch. Do not load a saved configuration from file and DO NOT Separate the SSIDs this time. Try adding just 1 satellite first. Leave the others turned OFF.
Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Set WPA2 and AES only.Try enabling WMM, Beamforming and MIMO. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see:
Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).5+days on a system I have:
System Uptime 05:20:17:57

The problem is not here, i have for example Arlo pro on channel 1 and there is now drops in wifi and its connected to my orbi router.
Is the Orbi system operating in Router or AP mode?Router
What is the Mfr and model# of the ethernet switch if one is in the configuration. No Problem here see above
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
two buildings, 2000 Sq Ft(1 router and 2 satellites) and 450 Sq Ft(1 satellite)
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between them to begin with depending uponbuilding materials when wirelessly connected.
2000 SqFt, router in the middle of the house and the satellites of each end of the house(60 feet from the router), 450 Sq Ft in the middle of the building, 45 feet away from one of the satellites. Satellites is wired to the router (backhaul). Its wooden buildings.

I have don the factory reset and set up from scratch, not load an saved configuration, the documet in my last post has only one SSID, but I have not tried to runt the system with one satelite. I have tried channel 1,6 and 11, still dropping wifi, 5 Ghz tired two channels, and still dropping wifi.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many? two nearby one on 2,4 but far away on channel 6, on 5 i also have one on channel 128.
Set WPA2 and AES only.WPA2
Try enabling WMM, Beamforming and MIMO. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Done, no changes
Try disabling the following and see:
Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).Done, no changes
The drops is in on both 2,4 and 5, and on router and satellites
