RBR50v2 does not allow some devices to connect to the Internet
I just installed a RBR50v2 and it was a disappointment. I will be greatly obliged if anyone can help me out. I had to set up the system with a phone (what a joke!, this should have altered me) an...

The point is really moot. As I said, I can get to the router by going to 192.168.1.1.
Thanks for the response.

1. What modem/gateway is the router connected to?
2. what firmware is on the router and the satellite?
For next time, you don't have to use your phone. When you first connect to the router with a pc and go to its ip address or the routerlogin address it'll say "we recommend......app" blah blah blah but if you scroll to the bottom of the page, there's a link you can click to go through the browser based setup. Works much better and my preferred way of setup.

All done!!!!
I am still not sure how it all worked out, but I found the key in "Access Control" page on the web interface. I had to delete some of the unconnected devices and then add them on again. Somehow, that seems to have worked.
All devices are now connected and everything appears to be fine.
Still disappointed with Netgear's instructions for set up -- they could have added a set up guide a few pages long. It would have been so much easier than monkeying around with the phone app.
Thanks for the hints, plemans.

Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.

Thanks for the hint. Given that I cannot quite remember the things I monkeyed with, it is very good advice!!
Another thing I do not get is that orbilogin.net never works. It takes to me to Netgear's homepage. Why do they not say that one can get to the router by using 192.168.1.1?

Yes. I always use the routers IP address. đ
