RBR/RBS 50 LAN issue

Question

I have had an Orbi RBR50/RBS50 mesh network with two satellites for couple years now. Just recently I lost the internet connection for the computer that is connected to the satellite (RBS50) with a LAN cable. With WiFi everything works fine.

All units have SW v2.7.3.22. I have done no changes to the network prior the problem occured for the first time. The connection can be established sometimes, but it succeeds very seldom. I have tried with two different computers and with different LAN cables. Symptoms are the same. I have also switched satellites, but to no avail.

Any good ideas (other than get another mesh system from another supplier)?

I would appreciate a lot if someone could help in this matter.

have you tried swapping the satellites to see if it happens to both satellites?&nbsp;

Hi,&nbsp;I don't know whether you have followed my conversation with Plemans, but just in case not then I have a suggestion to you. Plemas thought that it could be a FW issue. So, he suggested to roll back the FW to older version, but instead I just downloaded and updated the same version v2.7.3.22 that I already had.&nbsp;It however, fixed the problem and now both WiFi and LAN connections work fine. So, I suggest you to try the same fix. Dowload the latest firmware (despite you may have it already) and update it again. I did it for the satellites only.&nbsp;On thing that I noticed relates to the updating the FW. There are two variants of the FW&nbsp; v2.7.3.22, one for the router (RBR) and one for the satellite (RBS). In my case I was not able to update the satellite (RBS) with the FW intended for it. So I tried to update my satellites (RBSs) with the FW meant for the router (RBR) and it worked fine.&nbsp;So, you may give it a try. Hopefully it works.&nbsp;Good luck!
