RBS 40 Firmware update failure
Just purchased an orbi AC2200 RBS40, However I'm unable to update to the most current firmware. I have tried all of the previous posted solutions with no success. Need help...any suggestions? Thanks

I had the same (or similar) problem.
Use the manual update option, and its two steps.
Step 1)
Update to this firmware first.
RBR40 intermediate firmware rbr40 v2.0.0.56 (required to apply the previous update)
http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/RBK40/RBR40-V2.0.0.56.zip
Step 2)
RBR40 latest firmware rBR40 V2.2.1.210
http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/RBK40/RBR40-V2.2.1.210.zip
Update to this firmware first.
RBR40 intermediate firmware rbr40 v2.0.0.56 (required to apply the previous update)
http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/RBK40/RBR40-V2.0.0.56.zip
This approach works for me. Thanks! After manual updating to v2.0.0.56 router found an automatic v2.2.1.210 update and flashed it online.
