RBS20 has different SSID
Have installed new RBR20 and changed SSID to one I prefer. Have then added satellite (RBS20). When checking the RBR20 I can see that satellite is recognised and has established wired backhaul (All good so far), but upon logging into the RBS20 the SSID has not changed, it remains as the defaulr ORBI50. Help please on changing this so it matches the RBR20 SSID.
What is the model# of the switch being used?

SSIDs are now the same and the RBS20 has been returned to its original, desired location, had an ethernet cable plugged in however it is now showing as connected via 5g and not wored. To anser the point raised; yes, the cble from the RBR20 to the RBS20 does go via a netgear 5 port switch, 1000Mb rated. It has to go via a switch as there is only one ethernet port on the RBR20 and some items, eg alarm, need to be wired connections.

Is there a LAN switch in between the RBR and RBS? If so, what is the mfr an model#?

This should happen automatically. The only "wrinkle" I can think of is the wired backhaul. Perhaps if you disconnect the etherent cable and reboot the satellite, it will connect again and get the proper SSID? Another idea is to change the SSID on the router and see if the satellite matches the change, and then change back to the preferred SSID so that all the WiFi devices will reconnect.

I would reset the RBS and wirlessly synce the RBS to the RBR. First check the SSID name on the RBS after it's synced. I should be the same as whats on the RBR. If so, then connect the RBS to the RBR via ethernet.

I have noticed with many system, that false reports are showing in both the app and WEB GUI. I ran a test and disconnected a satellite, checked the GUI and it was still there, and showing devices connected, until the page refreshed about 5 times. I also performed a firmware check and the disconnected satellite, even though it was removed, still showed up and said firmware update failed. These false reports stayed until I rebooted the system. Once rebooted, everything reported correctly. I found the same results with the app.
