RBS40V Firmware update
Trying a manual update. The website contains firmware files but they are all .chk. The update requires an .img file. Where do I find the proper file? Thanks,
The upper part of the manual update page (above the line) is for the router, which requires an *.img file.
Click on Update below the line to update the satellite.
(I personally prefer to log into the satellite web page directly using its IP address and select Update Firmware from the satellite home page.)
The RBS web page should be accepting the .chk file.
What browser are you using?
Mac Book Pro Ventura 13.5.2
Safari 16.6
I can login to the orbi stuff ok. I have several orbi products, all are up to date except the RBS40V which is at 2.3.6.4
I have downloaded from the Netgear web site each of the subsequent firmware.
ALL of them are .chk files.
When I Browse to locate them, it accepts them as "found" but when I click on Upload I get the message that it has to be an .img file.
I've attached 2 screen grabs. Thanks.

Many thanks. I went directly to the RBS40V - and after remembering the password - was able to update. I took it carefully, step by step but am now at v 2.6.2.8.
