RBS40V Orbi Voice- Alexa not working well

Hello all. In a nutshell. I purchased the Orbi Mesh Router RBR50 and one satellite that I put upstairs in a fairly large house. I then purchased the RBS40v as a mesh extension and to replace my working Alexa (as the RBS40v has a harmon kardon speaker). I figured it would be the best of both worlds, add more stable wifi to the house and give me a much better sounding Alexa system.  Sorry for the long intro but my question is, Alexa is not working as well as the original. It has to think much longer, it does not seem to be able to hear as well, and it seems a bit glitchy, ie.- plays a snippet of the last song when i ask it to play someting else. It just does not seem as 'refined' as the older alexa only model. I looked for a firmware update for the alexa part of the RBS40 but only found an update for the RBS40 not alexa as well. The RBS40 has the latest update as does the other routers in the house. Is there a fix? Thanks!
