RBS40v
I have RBR 50 hardwired to RBS50 with a wireless link to an Orbi Voice RBS40v. The network works well but almost daily the RBS40v glows red and I can find no way to resolve this problem other than b...

What Firmware version is currently loaded on the 50 and 40 series units?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS📡 to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

Hi Thanks for your reply.
My house is a stone built house in midsize range.
The Router is about 24 feet from the satelitte. with a window and and part of a brick wall between them.
The ISP Modem is SuperHub 2ac
Firmware RBR50 is 2.7.3.22; RBS50 is 2.7.3.22 and RBR40v is 2.6.2.4

Is the ISP modem running in router or bridge mode? Your router already has a built in router and wifi.
Being of stone materials, this may impact good signal travel between the RBR and RBS.
Something to try, turn OFF the RBS50 and put in its place the RBS40v and see if the status reports something different or better for the RBS40v.

Thank you for the suggestion. The ISP router is in bridge mode. I will try your suggestions. I wondered about the wall issue. I will continue to try things to fix it.

Stone or brick walls are hell on WiFi signals. Placement can make substantial difference. As an example, I noticed that one of my security system entry sensors was being reported as "not on line". Replaced the battery. Jumped up and down. THEN.... I remembered that a plumbing problem required me to move the base station 3 feet to move a cabinet and open a hole in the wall. And, I never moved the base station back. Slid the base station back to the original location, and that sensor has worked perfectly ever since.
Depending on your internet bandwidth and electrical wiring, it may be possible to connect the Orbi Voice using PowerLine adapters. PowerLine has only a small fraction of the capacity of ethernet cable, but if it works, it can save a ton of installation effort.
