RBS50 connectivity issues
Hi, I'm a Orbi owner for almost 2 years without a single issue. Last friday I began to experience connectivity issues on my satellites. When I'm connected on either of the satellites if I run a speed...

I update the router and the satellites today. I make test on the following scenarios:
1. RBR and 1 satellite with my laptop connected to the satellite via wifi. Same results
2. RBR and 1 satellite with my laptop connected to a ethernet port on the satellite. Same results
3. RBR with the satellite in from and my laptop connected to ethernet on the satellite. Same result
4. RBR with 2 satellites and my laptop connected via wifi to the router. speed test results looks good
5. RBR with 2 satellites and my laptop connected to ethernet to the router. speed test looks good.

What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)?
- KennethAlvApr 28, 2020Tutor
like 27 feet. I test with the satellite right next to the router

Testing the RBS near the RBR won't be a good test. Way too much wifi over lap.
What happens if you revert FW back to what you had loaded before?

I rollback the FW and all devices to V2.3.5.38, the issue persist on the satellites and the router just work fine.

30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router
I would do this. Download the RBS FW for v16 again. Use a wired PC and web browser to apply the v16 FW to the RBS. Both of them. Directly connect the PC to each RBS and log into there web pages to re-load the FW file.
If your RBR isn't already on v16 or is, re-load the RBR again as well.
Factory reset the RBS and RBR. Press the reset button for 15 seconds then release. After the top ring on the RBS is blinking or slowly pulsating, turn them OFF.
I would walk thru the setup wizard on the RBR using the web browser. Skip the adding of RBS during the setup wizard. Complete the setup wizard. Do not enable Armor or Circle.
Ensure the RBR works after the setup wizard completes.
Take 1 RBS and bring it to the same room as the RBR. 6 feet distance and turn it ON. Wait for the top ring LED to slowly pulsate. Press the black sync button on the RBR then press the sync button on the RBS. The RBS should sync and turn BLUE on top then turn OFF. Wait for it to turn OFF. IF it turns off. Leave it there for 5-10 minutes to see if the top ring turns ON PINK or does anything else. It should remain OFF. IF it does, turn OFF the RBS and place back in it's remote distance location. 30 feet to start. Turn ON the RBS. Check the top ring LED, it should plusate WHITE, then turn BLUE then OFF.
Check to see if the RBS does anything else or exhibits any PINK LED or reboots in the remote location.Let us know the results of this process...
