RBS50 limited to 100 Mbps over cat6
As the post says I have a machine networked via Cat5e to a RBS50 satellite which is itself networked to a RBR40 via Cat6 cable. I get Sonic gigabit service but only receive 100 Mbps through the ...

So i feel like the cable is not the issue. -----Some devices are more tolerant of sketchy cables. So while it might work on the workstation, its possible that the cable ends/cable itself is still sketchy/bad. I've seen this happen several different times. the 6ft test with a decent quality cat 6 cable is ideal.
have you checked the wan statistics page? it'll show if you're connected at gigabit or not.

have you tried moving the satellite next to the router and connecting with a known good 6ft cable?
