RBS50 low signal strength

I have an RBK50. The 5GHz signal strength of the RBR50 always measures higher than the RBS50 5GHz signal. This is true even when I position myself so  that the RBS50 is on the midpoint of a line between myself and the RBR50 (RBS50 -65dBm, RBR50 - 52dBm). Is this normal or explainable?

I measured this using the WiFi Analyzer app on my Android

  • Wireless networking really is complicated and the ways radio waves propagate and interfere with one another is almost impossible to apprehend. And -65dBm is not a bad value, for that matter.
