RBS50 satellite will not reset, does not connect.

Yes I've held it down for as long as 30 seconds. There are no changes in anything. The top ring doesn't light up at all during the whole process, the little led on the back next to the power button stays green
- Also, I can't do the manual update like that link suggests, the satellite does not connect to the router. Unless I can plug the satellite directly into the computer to update, but it doesn't sound like that's an option
I would contact NG support and ask for help and information on this. The top LED is supposed to turn on AMBER when holding the pin button.
