RBS50v2 corrupted firmware (red blinking power light). How do I restore firmware?
Mac only home (somewhat of a power user, but definitely NOT terminal/shell script literate). RBR50v2 is working fine connected to an older RBS50 satellite. However, RBS50v2 somehow got stuck in an u...

Thank you for your reply. I tried that, but likely due to my inexperience executing terminal commands, I could NOT get it to work. I enabled root user, logged in as root user, downloaded nmrpflash from the same link you provided, and tried to execute nmrpflash -L
Reply: "nmrpflash command not found"
I have no idea what I'm doing wrong

Be sure you are using the command line with in the folder path where that program is located.
Be sure you have the Pre-Requisites installed as well.

Thank you for your response. This is where my lack of experience with terminal commands is showing up. I downloaded nmrpflash to the downloads folder of the root account (as I have to be logged in as a root user according to the GitHub page), but I have no idea why I can't run command: nmrpflash -L
The file is located on the downloads folder of the root account (Macintosh HD - private - var - root - downloads)
When I double click the file, it opens the terminal command, runs through several processes, ending with [process completed] and then I can't do anything. nothing I type shows up.
If I open the terminal command as the root user (name of my Mac:~ root#) and type nmrpflash -L, I get the command not found error.
I have no idea what I'm doing wrong or how to fix or how to move to another directory within the terminal window. Then the GitHub page in question indicates that it's best for Mac users to install nmrp via Homebrew, but when I attempt to install as root user it says "don't install as root user". So I logged out/back in to my personal user account, installed homebrew, but then terminal command doesn't recognize any brew commands.
I'm stuck (likely because I don't know what the hell I'm doing). Is there an easier option without having to use terminal commands?
If there is no other option for flashing the satellite, do you have any recommendations for terminal commands for dummies?

I watched the video this morning. Thank you! You’ve been very kind and responsive, and I greatly appreciate it.
The video is for Windows users, and at present, I don't have access to a Windows machine. (only Macs)
Late yesterday, I contacted Netgear support and the tech offered this link.
He helped me configure the ethernet port to ping the router successfully.
So I was able to connect my Mac Air directly to the RBS50v2 via ethernet + USBc ethernet adapter. I followed the instructions in the link above (to a point), but never turned off wifi on my Mac Air.
After step 4f was completed, I was “connected” to the router. So I performed step 5.
But when I performed step 7, I lost the direct connection, which never came back with steps 8-10.
So I rebooted everything and ran through step 5 (ignoring Steps 6-9). Remaining connected, I executed the Put command (in step 10). It took 23 seconds to successfully upload the firmware (the KB reported back as "uploaded" matched the firmware file size).
So it seems I successfully uploaded the correct firmware, however nothing changed. Red power light was still blinking (even after 10 min). Figuring I may have missed a step, I did a hard reset on the RBS50v2 (paper clip in reset button for 30 sec with device on, remove power cable and keep reset button depressed for 30 more sec, plug power cable and keep reset button depressed for final 30 sec). I ran the steps above again….again with successful upload of the latest firmware. And again, nothing changed….red blinking power light (after waiting the prescribed 4 min for it to reboot).
Does this mean my RBS50v2 is bricked? Or is there a chance to save it with a Windows machine (using the video you provided)?
Sincerely appreciate your time and response.
