Do not rename the firmware image file. For some (never explained) reason, firmware for the RBW30 actually does have a *.chk file extension. Whoever made this decision has probably "moved on" and the support engineers are simply stuck with it (and the resulting chaos).

Try this:

Discover the actual IP address of the RBW30 satellite.
Open a browser to http://<ip of BRW30>
Select the bottom menu item, "Firmware Update"
When it comes time to browse to the file, select the *.chk file
