Orbi Losing wifi connection
I have had the Orbi AC 2200 for a month now. 2 to 3 times a week we completely lose our wifi.

Hi there
I probably didn't explain correctly but the music system is all conected via ethernet and not wifi.
My firmware version is V2.1.4.10
The music system is by Bluesound
My Orbi is connected to the latest Virgin Media Hub 3 which is setup in modem mode only.
The Orbi Router is connected to this via Cat 6 ethernet cable and is acting as my main router.
I have two satellites connected of this Orbi Router. My house is over 3 floors and wifi coverage from these is quite good.
The problem which is surprising is on the ethernet connection and not wifi. No problems with it previously.
Regards
Paul

Hi there
Update below.
Since I took the Orbi's out of ethernet backhaul my problem has been resolved. My conclusion is that the powerline adapter that I was using for one of the Orbi's ethernet backhaul was the problem. I have these in wifi backhaul mode now and no issues showing.
Thank you for the help on this.

Probably not compatible with PLs. Glad you got it figured out.
Enjoy. :smileywink:

- ovqJun 11, 2018GuideCan you share which PL model you were using?
I have one PL in my setup as well, but so far it seems to work. - kavpaulJun 11, 2018GuideHi
The model I was using was the TP Link AC 1200.
Is there much of an advantage using Ethernet backhaul as opposed to WiFi backhaul. My system appears to be running smoothly now over WiFi backhaul - kavpaulJun 11, 2018GuideSorry correction it is the TP Link AC 1750 model
- ovqJun 11, 2018GuideInteresting. I have the AC 2200, seems to work.
There’s nothing wrong with wireless backhaul, unless your infrastructure allows for having good connections between the Orbi devices. In my setup, there’s no way to do wireless, I am pretty much depending on wired. - kavpaulJun 11, 2018GuideThank you.
I have a strong connection on the wireless backhaul from what I see on the web app.
I have a 380 meg connection from Virgin so no issues there either.
I’m happy now so I’ll leave well enough alone
