Orbi Triband question
Will this router split up the incoming bandwidth to make little, carved up dedicated bandwidths for each device? If so will this increase or decrease my overall WiFi speed?

im not exactly sure what you are asking but as far as i know there are no bandwidth limiting features on the orbi so what you are asking for isnt possible
you actually wont find actual bandwidth limiting capability on many stock firmwares apart from asus routers , gargoyle firmware cab also do bandwidth limiting on some routers but its not available for the orbi
standard QOS doesnt do bandwidth limiting as its just a priority based on demand system that cant and doesnt normally do as you want

to the second part of your question what do you mean by improve your overall WiFi speed ? are you talking about speed of the internet or speed of your actual sync to the orbi system

Okay,
So if it's priority based, orbi make each device equal priority so that one isn't taking more bandwidth than another?
I am looking to expand the WiFi range jn my house. Mainly for the arlo security system.
Will this do the job for me?
And will it also boost my connectivity to the Internet?
And will this change my overall Internet speed at all?

hi again
the qos system atm on the orbi is all but none existent so we will have to wait for fw to see if it gets anything like what you want
as far as expanding the wifi this is what the orbi is good at and certainly will give you increased coverage area
as far as boosting connectivity to the internet goes will depend on how fast your device syncs to the orbi but with my mobile phone i could get my full 100/40Mbps internet speed anywhere in my house so you should be able to max your connection , what speed internet plan do you have atm as with all routers the wan-lan throughput is not unlimited
what wireless device are you using and what make and model is the wireless adapter and is it single band or dual band
