Replace Fios Quantum w/RBR50

I have a Orbi RBR50 with 1 satellite. App version 2.5.4.0, firmware version V2.5.1.16.
My house is not wired with ethernet cable. It’s all coax. I want to cancel TV and phone service and only have internet for streaming. I’ve been told I need to install MOCAs, one after the router before connecting to the coax and one at the device (TV). Same thing with the satellite - although the satellite is connected wirelessly to the main Orbi. Is this correct? Will it work? Please advise what I need to do.

MOCA requires the use of COAX cabling, something the Orbi doesn't support. I beiieve there maybe MOCA to ethernet adapters. Something to do a search on or ask your ISP about to see what is supported or not supported.

Yes. Actiontec makes them. Available on Amazon. I wanted to know if that would work and the required placement of them on my network.

Something to ask your ISP about. The RBR only processes internet traffic from a ISP modem or ONT device.

If you just want to use WIFI throughout your home, you can connect your RBR50 directly to the ONT via network cable. Then place your satellite node where you want it and connect your TVs, etc wirelessly. If the ONT is in a place that is undesireable, you can run a network cable to the location where you want to put your RBR50. Or if you are going to keep the FIOS router, connect the RBR50 to it and either disable DHCP in the ISP router or run the Orbi in bridge mode.
