Could you please check to see whether UPnP is enabled on this system?

well, darn**. Since you were able to connect the kitchen unit to the main router, would it be possible to test it on satellite 1? (That would confirm the issue is with the router-satellite connection rather than with satellite 2.)
What are the model numbers of those two switches?
** There have been discussions on the internet about UPnP and certain Ethernet switch implementations of IGMP Snooping. Basically, the switch learns about a UPnP capable device on the network and then "forgets" about it because the IGMP Snooping code is faulty.
If you have occasion to contact the Roon support folks again, it might be worth asking them how their software knows which compatible sound systems are on the network and what their IP addresses are.
On Android and Windows, there are UPnP Scanner (or Analyzer) apps that will check every device on the network to see which are capable of UPnP connection. (On my network, the Sony TV, Sony DVD, and Sonos speaker show up. Echo Dot and Google Nest Mini do not.)
