Router RBR50 with 1MB wifi, Satellite 400MB
Hello, I have 1 router and 2 satellites RB50, last firmware. Backhaul using wifi. The router is in AP mode, connected to a router/firewall. Router Speed test shows 892Mb. Speedtest from my co...

Ok seems I found the issue and as Mstrbig said, it can indeed be many things and never as simple as it's an Orbi issue.
The issue seems to be due to a Samsung soundbar, which is connected to wifi through the router.
The overall Samsung wifi connect and App are crap and not working very well. The App lose the connection to the soundbar quite easily. Last time I tried to re-connect the App to the bar it failed several times and I gave up, which was a mistake. Each time the Soundbar is on, it probably tries to connect to something and kills the wifi on the router.
That's where, having better log, on AP mode, than "admin login at xxx" would be definitely helpful.
I've completely removed the bar from the wifi network and so far back to 500+Mb. I'll see how it goes.

Hello,
The issue is not when wired-connected to the back ports. These work like a charm. Apple TV is connected to one of the back port and deliver proper 4K. The speed test from the router menu itself delivers 800Mb.
The problem is with any device connected to the router through wifi and wifi only. It can be computers or phones.
Yes full reset was done after last upgrade and at that time I got normal speed above 500Mb. But then it slows down to reach the worst today at 1Mb. It never happens to the 2 satellites, only with the wifi part of the router.
Today after several reboots I eventually got back 600Mb using the wifi. So the good news is the router can work. The bad news is something slow it down over time. No clue what for now.

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or may not be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Circle, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Set Short preamble instead of Long preamble modes. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).

The size of the home is not the issue. When I'm testing the speed trying to fix, I'm 2 meters away from the router.
Gone through the rest and done it.
Is there a way to monitor the wifi activity in some logs?
Thanks.

Please provide feedback to the question presented. Some of those maybe a factor or a cause of the problem.

Size of the house no clue, but less than 2000 sqf
Distance bewteen each about 15 feet, 1 per floor roughly directly above each others, concrete. Reminder Satellite working like a charm.
Did try several (and the ones you mentioned) and currently set to the less crowded (did a scan to check)
MIMO, Beam, WMM, enabled (tried with disabled too)
Armor, Circle, IPV6 not relevant in AP mode (not visible)
Did try disabling Daisy chain, then Satellite got lost.
Fast roaming disabled.
Coexistence to 40Mhz only (tried with 20/40Mhz)
Tried auto, short and long preamble.
Disabling the guest network as suggested in the last link is not an option.
Furrye38, maybe some don't read the email you put each time. I did and apply check each points. I usually don't post before reading previous posts and use Search.
I doubt the points above will be a factor, as the issue is located on the router only, wifi only, 1-2 meters distance (very low chance neighbors saturate me that close). But I might be wrong and do appreciate your fast reply.

So you are saying your wifi speeds are fine through satellites, but the Orbi router or master router that the Orbi router iis connected to, is slow?
If the Orbi router is slow, there can be many factors causing it.

You can revert back to prior working FW version as well and see if your problem resolves.
FURRYe38 Yes reverting to 2.3.5.30.
I don't think, considering what's in between each floor (concrete, metal), there's a problematic overlap. If so it should affect the stallite too and, the degradation of performance should be almost all the time, not progressive. The only "negative" faced is sometimes I'm not connected to the closest Orbi. But I will try to remove one to check too.

Mstrbig Only the Orbi router wifi part is having a problem, all the rest works fine.
