Router SOLID MAGENT in AP mode
I have my orbi set as AP. The router is connected after a firewall with double port LAN, ex-WAN.
If I connect the LAN cable to the WAN port of the Orbi than the RING turn off the solid magenta since it sense the internet connection, but I did iperf test and this have HALF of the throughput (500mbs instead of 1G (950circa). I assume this port is set to HALF DUPLEX.
If I connect the LAN cable to any of the standard swith port on the back of the router everything works and the speed goes up to normal (940Mbps with Iperf) but the light is solid magenta. There is no sense of sensing the internet connection in AP mode via the WAN port of RBR or at least should be possible like in other product to set this port as part of the bridge with the other ports. Does anybody if there a setitng in the setup that I'm missing or a way to make that SOLID magenta turn off (all the satellite are blue and my internet is working everywhere)?
If this is the standard behavior I think NG should fix it.
Thanks in adavnce.

So to confirm the diagram, You have a firewall>WAN port on RBR>switches connected to back of RBRs LAN ports?
What is the mfr and model# of these switches?
Be sure your using good Quality LAN cables. CAT6 is recommended.
What FW version is currently loaded on the RBR?
Has a factory reset been performed since last FW update?
Ports are full 1000Mpbs duplex.

This is the original diagram
Router INSIDE Ports + DMZ device -->> WAN Port OPN <<--[[OPNSENSE Firewall]] -->> LAN Port OPN <<--WAN Port ORBI -- Other LAN Port Orbi ->>> Computer
with this diagram the magenta light off but the Iperf3 measure a max of 550 Mbits to traverse the firewall from the computer to the DMZ
while with this diagram
RouterINSIDE Port + DMZ device -->> WAN Port <<--[OPNSENSE] -->> LAN Port Firewall <<-- Other LAN Port Orbi ->>> Computer
with the magenta light on but Iperf3 measure the total throughput of 1Gb Mbits to traverse the firewall from the computer to the DMZ
Nothing is connected in this diagram to the WAN port of the Orbi, but Internet is active, the app confirm Internet online, and speed test work as expected.
The Orbi have also other 2 satellite connected via 5G backhoul and they works well in both the config but the second have little higher throughput.
As mentioned above the Firewall is a Protecli FW6C (64gb Ram) with OPNSense latest.
Firmware version is V2.5.1.16 for RBR and RBSs.
Factory Reset was never done since I have all my config done and working.
Maybe the WAN port have a different behavior in sensing the duplex or MTU, becouse as said above the highest troughout is achieved if the connection is via any od the bridge ports of the ORBI and NOT via the WAN port.

ANybody have the same issue? Does anybody notice that Wan port kill throughput?
