Hello, I’ve added two refurbished satellites recently. I have updated their firmware, and when I access them on the orbilogin.com they both show as operating with good connections . However they as we...

What satellites do you have?
What firmare is on the router?
What firmware is on the satellites?
What modem/gateway are they connected to?
What size is your home?
What are the interior walls made of?

Hi, thanks for asking.
Satellites are
2 RBS50v2 and 1 RBS50
The firmware on the router is V2.7.3.22
The firmware on the satellites is also 2.7.3.22
We have a 2000 sq foot home on one level.
Walls inside are standard plaster.
Previously, before adding the two refurbushed satellites, the original satellite worked very well. It was only after adding the new refurbished satellites that it stopped working.
I've tried disconnecting the satellites on the main web browser controls, then resetting the satellites. I've tried to reconnect one unsuccesfully; it now apprears as a device and not a satellite.

Are you connecting them daisy chained or star configuration?
Daisy: Router------>satellite----->satellite
Star: satellite<--------router--------->satellite

Star, I believe -- daisy chain is still enabled.
At the moment, though, my satellites aren't even showing up on the browser control window. When I click on the attached devices and choose my satellite, under Device Type, what should it be? It was 'router' but I changed it to 'extender' -- if you have any suggestions on what the Device Type shoudl be that would be great.

the device type shouldn't matter.
try resetting the satellites and re-syncing them 1 more time.
It could be the newer firmware causing issues on the attached devices page. (might not cause issues, just displaying wrong)

What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS📡 to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.
https://kb.netgear.com/31029/Where-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite 📡Be sure newly added RBS has same FW loaded as the RBR...

They're placed at a suitable distance

You'll need to try this to see whats loaded on the RBS:
Manual RBS FW update after RBR was updated:
You need to update the RBS before updating the RBR. Keep this in mind for future updates.What you need to do is factory reset the RBS. Wire connect a PC to the 1st satellite. Already have the most current FW version files downloaded on to this PC.
Wire connect 1 PC to the back of the RBS. Factory reset the RBS, wait about 5 minutes. The PC will get a IP address from the satellite. The RBS will be 192.168.1.250. Use this IP address in a web browser to log in to the satellites web page. Log in as admin and password. Use the satellites web page FW update feature to select the FW update file that was unpacked from the .zip file. Then factory reset and then re-sync the satellites to the RBR.
