Satellite layout
Is there a disadvantage or reduced functionality if a satellite is connected to another satellite instead of directly to the router. Is it possible to force a satellite to connect to the router so that it does not connect to another satellite?
What mesh system do you have?
When you connect one satellite to another its called daisy chaining.
It does have some disadvantages as it increases latency and can decrease speeds. With dual band systems you see more of a speed loss than you do with the triband systems.
The newer AX systems, it isn't user changeable as the system negotiates the best speeds/stabilities. But the older systems you could disable daisy chaining.
