Satellite Problems
Two problems: 1. Satellite internet speed drops significantly. The download speed is 3xx Mbps if the device is connected to the “Router”, while it drops to 1x Mbps if the device is connected to the s...
A couple things.
1. The satellites should be at least 10m away from the router for the roaming protocols to function properly.
2. its your own device that roams between the satellite/router as needed based on its own built in protocols. Some devices are more aggressive than others on how they roam.
3. Have you tested the wired speed of the satellite to check how well its backhaul is functioning?
- I have more concern on the “speed drop” problem, how to fix it? The speed drop is not reasonable.
Did you test it as I suggested in #3?
Thats a good place to start. It allows you to find out if the speed drop is coming because of the backhaul connection or if its a fronthaul issue.
