The 5GHz backhaul connecting the satellite to the router is working fine.

So how can I tell if the Daisy Chaining is on or off if checking the box is not an indicator to go by?
Am I going to notice performance improvement? What should I look for?
I only have one satellite.

Well for this version of FW, if it's check marked on the UI, it should be actually disablied. If it's not checked on the UI, then it means it's enabled.
Have you done a factory reset on the RBS and re-added it?
Use a wifi scanner and check to see by sitting close to the setellite if it's broadcasting after the reset and re-sync. You should see 2.4Ghz, and two 5Ghz signals on a scanner. What ever channel your router is set for on 5ghz, should be the same seen on the satellite. You might even turn OFF the router temporarily to see what the satellite is putting out. If you don't see any 5Ghz signals, then the satellite maybe faulty.
