My Orbi 35 wifi router is infected with the "Man in the middle " virus and re-setting the router does not solve the problem - any suggestions ?

Can you please share what information has led to this conclusion about a "Man in the middle"?
ORBI35 is probably the WiFi SSID printed on the product label.
Please look at the label and report the "model number" of the router.
Thanks

Orbi model # is RBR50

Thanks for the model number. Every Orbi ships from the factory with a WiFi name "ORBI" plus a two digit number. Guess Netgear thinks the chances of people in the same neighborhood getting Orbi's with identical WiFi names is very small. It's pretty easy to determine which ISP my neighbors use by the name of their WiFi networks.
There is a place during the Orbi setup to "name" the WiFi. I always set my new WiFi router to exactly the same SSID and password as the one it is replacing. (a) no devices have to be reconfigured, and (b) if I decide to "go back", the devices will still connect.
NOW... What has told you that the Orbi router is "infected"?

Continually get a message on our iphones and ipads that says " this man -in-the-middle attack seeks to alter a website's content to mislead or defraud ussers"

Well, that is certainly frightening.
- Is it on every web site, or only on some web sites?
- Is this Orbi configured as a "router" (the default) or as an Access Point (AP)?
- How does the message identify the Orbi as the culprit "in the middle"?

Hi Crimp On
The message says "Orbi WiFi network is compromised, The man -in -the- middle attack aims to alter a website's content to mislead or defraud users. "
This message will just pop up on our iPhones, iPads and lap top devices, sometimes when you just open the phone or ipad and sometimes when we are on various random sites.
Thanks for your help.
