Slow router/modem with Orbi

Hi all.

I'm from Korea so please excuse if my English is off slightly. My parents are use Century Link internet with 750 kbps speed. I have been working at internship for several month and have save up some money. I want to treat parents + little brother to faster internet so they don't have to wait 2 minute for webpage to load.

 

Just a question before I buy it though: If I buy NetGear Orbi and connect to modem/router, will internet speed be still slow?

    Orbi will not affect the speed of your WAN connection.  If you have a 750 kbps connection, your speed through Orbi will be 750 kbps to the internet.
