Smart Scales Compatability
Good Morning,
Once upon a time, I had a set of Fitbit Aria scales which helped a lot in motivating me to lose weight. When I switched to a Netgear Orbi setup I discovered they no longer worked and this seemed to be down to both 2.4/5ghz having the same SSID, which seems to be general problem with smart scales. I tried some Garmin scales but also had the same issues, the scales would connect to wifi but when it came down to doing anything they couldn't get to the outside world.
I've gone through every workaroumd I've found online, including telneting to the device and forcing different SSIDs but nothing has ever resolved this issue.
It being New Year (lets hope its better than the last) I need that extract motivation and would like to get these issues resolved. So my questions are:
1. Has anyone had/resolved any similiar issues with smart scales on the Orbis?
2. Does anyone current use Smart Scales with their Orbi setup and if so.. which do you use?
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Regards
Jay

Is this correct? The scales actually connect (and show up on the Orbi Attached Devices display with an IP address)?

After a factory reset, during configuration it errored every single time when connecting to WIFI. I then followed a post saying to disable broadcasting the SSID for both 2.4/5, and clear the wifi off your phone. Doing that and manually typing the SSID and password successfully connected to the wifi, however I didn't check that in devices that it was there and had been assigned an ip and in hindsight should of... and will a little later.
