Stability AP vs Router mode on .18 release

Does anyone have experience with moving the Orbi to AP mode on the .18 release ?   Wondering if that is a temporary way to get some atability.  Just need a spare box for Router/NAT/DHCP. any rec...

any recommendations for a Router suitable for a high speed 200 Mbs plus cable modem are appreciated ?

I have RBK50 kit with 1000fiber and pppoe.

I have 950-960mbps on LAN

almost 600mbps on wireless with old macbook

same speed 500-600mbps on wireless from satellite RBS50 connected to RBR50 over wireless.

So, it support pppoe >900mbps.

We had a lot of issues using Orbi in Router mode with several recent firmware releases. The router continually dropped the Internet connection ( to AT&T UVerse DSL modem ).

 

After switching to AP mode, all of our Internet connectivity issues have vanished.
